Historically being considered as a less important factor, warming rate can have significant impact on the viability of cells. A number of researches show that the choice of warming rate shall not be independent from cooling rate, i.e. each cooling rate will result in a different optimal warming rate[1] [2]. One can determine the appropriate cooling rate warming rate combination only after carefully study the cooling/warming rate matrix.
